The floors of your building hosts all of your bookable spaces and rooms. Create floors with descriptive names and images so your users can easily find the spaces they need.

Prerequisites:
- You must be at least a global or building admin in Kadence
- You must be using the Kadence web app
Creating a floor*
To add floors to any of your buildings follow these steps:
- Click on the building you wish to add a new floor to in the “Buildings” tab
- Here you can see an overview of the building and how many floors, desks, and rooms it has as well as the building’s opening hours
- Click “Add floor”
- Enter the name of the floor
- Click on the green camera next to the floor icon to upload a picture of the floor
- Click “Add”
- The new floor will appear on the left-hand side of the building overview

Editing a floor
- In the building view click on the three dots (⋮) next to the floor you wish to edit
- Click “Edit floor”. Here you can:
- Change the name of the floor
- Change the picture associated with the floor
- Once you are happy with the changes click “Update”
Deleting a floor
- In the building view click on the three dots (⋮) next to the floor you wish to delete
- Click “Delete floor”
- You will be prompted to confirm the choice to delete the floor
Note: Deleting a floor will delete all information, floor plans, spaces, and bookings associated with the floor. Once the floor has been deleted you cannot restore it.
*Newly added floors will instantly be fully functional. To reflect any changes on your floor plan please contact our Customer Success Team on cx@kadence.co. Creating and updating floor plans requires specialist skills so to ensure a great customer experience we take that job off of your plate.
