Prerequisites:
- You must be a global admin in Kadence to set up any integrations
- You must be an admin of your Google Workplace
- You must be using the Kadence web app
- Navigate to Settings > Integrations
- Scroll down to "Calendar integration" > Click “Add Calendar” > Click “Connect” next to Google
Setup integration with Google Workplace
- Login to Google Admin.
- Go to Security > Settings
- Scroll down the bottom of the page and click on API controls
- At the bottom of this new page under Domain wide delegation click Manage Domain Wide Delegation
- At the top of the table next to the title API clients click the Add new button
- For Client ID enter 102568262275483749620
- For OAuth scopes (comma-delimited) enter https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar,https://www.googleapis.com/auth/admin.directory.resource.calendar,https://www.googleapis.com/auth/admin.directory.user.readonly
- Then click Authorize
- You should see the new API client added with the name Chargifi Wx Rooms
- Click on the menu in the top right hand corner
- Go to Account > Account settings
- Click on the Profile box
- Copy your Customer ID, it should start with a C and be about 9 characters long
- Go back to Kadence and paste your Customer ID into the field labelled Google Workplace Customer ID
- You can optionally change the Administrator email address (auto filled to the current user)
- Click the Verify Integration button
Managing rooms in Google Workplace
- Go to Directory > Buildings and resources > Manage resources
- Click on Add Building down the left hand side
- Click on the yellow plus down the left hand side
- Enter your building details
- In the top menu change from Buildings to Resources
- Click on the yellow plus down the left hand side
- Enter a room name and a capacity, and then click on Add resource
